I have succesfully backed up several dvd's using fuji dvd+r media, my dell laptop won't play them though but my compaq presario, which is pretty old in comparison, will. Is it that my Dell doesn't like the Fuji media or that I need to install some kind of program so it starts playing them with no problem?

sounds to me like you need a dvd program on the laptop to play ...also the drive in your laptop might need firmware update to play ..those disc are great to use
