Safe to format memory stick after upgrading to 3.4 OE-A?

I just upgraded to 3.4 OE-A and was wondering if it was safe to format my memory stick and I know that this will delete everything. How can I do this and still keep the Recovery folder and the stuff in it?

the recovery menu are on the psp onboard flash so it wont delete them
and yes you can format the PSP memory on 3.40 oe No proplem

My IQ is 152,some people call me a PSP Guru as i can
answer any psp related question. know a bit in C++ written a couple of programs i got 2 psp on is briced and other is original 3.40 firmware.i got a Core 2 Extreme QX6700 with a geforce 8800 GTX PC 2 ipods
and a PS3
