Quote: get something better to do with your lives and go outside. there is no chip and you cannot get caught. but just go buy the game anyway.
you would say that wouldnt you, lull the unsuspecting into a false sense of security. and who wants to go outside; no ozone, muggings, pollution, and those silent helicopters hovering around all the time. no thank you, me ill just sit in my lead lined study (until someone buys it) with my specially developed pottery wheel and laser pen/mirror combo

If ANYONE tells you that you won't get caught trust that they are indeed with the FBI and THEY will be the ones to bust you. Here's what I'd do: Get like 10 locks on all your doors, get bulletproof windows, get an electric fence with barbwire at the top around your property, and turn your front and back lawns into minefields. Also keep tigers on your roof so they can't get in that way. Then burn, baby burn!

I finally figured out how to bypass dual-layer games. Place the disc in your dryer. Set it on high for 1 hour. The chip will disable to due the combined effects of the heat and of the spinning motion.
scott2453, thanks for info regarding the mirror/laser pen combo. I guess I just wasn't thinking. However, this new method is fullproof:
1)You put your right foot in.
2)You put your right foot out.
3)You put your right foot in.
4)And you shake it all about.
5)You do the Hokey-Pokey.
6)And you turn yourself around.
7)That's what it's all about.
No false readings this time!!! Ender88, put that in the faq, as it will help a lot of people.

Yeah...I heard about the hokey-pokey method. You gotta make sure that there's a full moon out. Then you use the original game to reflect the moon's light onto the blank DVDR, this burns the game. You must do it between the hours of 3 and 4 am on a cloudless night when the temperature is between 50 and 52 degrees with less than 30% humidity, otherwise the disc warps and you could blow up your PS2, possibly even (literally) burn the original game. I'm working on a guide for this, hopefully that will give me admin rights.

heres another method that might work ok heres what you do:
1.put blank disc label side down on flat surface
2.put disc you want to copy on top of it label side up
3.press down on it really hard for about 1 minute. make sure you push hard and with even pressure on the whole disc. you might want to use a book or some other heavy flat object to assist you. if you press hard enough, all of the data on the original will be indented onto the surface of the blank disc. The obvious advantage to this method is that since it doesn't require a pc, no signal will be sent to the fbi. Another plus is that since it will be an exact copy,it will also bypass all other protections as well. again, make sure the pressure is applied evenly over the entire surface or you will end up with a disc that is missing video segments, or even sections of the actual game. hope this helps you guys out.

Oh and I got off the phone to the FBI, they said they had put phuc into a "special" cell, due to his experiences with blockbuster.
phuc, we all have a special place in our hearts for you, we truly, truly do.

Hey Scott2453, with that method, won't the PS2 have to spin the disc in the opposite direction to get it to work? Kinda like when you look at yourself in the mirror you're actually seeing yourself backwards.

I heard Blockbuster is aware that we are able to crack the current chip, and copy the games. That's why a new chip will soon be used that is much harder to crack. Last night, however, I hacked into Blockbuster's database, and have discovered how to crack the new chip!!! All you have to do is bring the temperature of the disc to absolute zero. That will deactivate the chip. Then, just bring the disc back to room temperature for burning. The only problem is, I'm not quite sure how to bring the disc down to absolute zero. Anyone have any ideas?

A combination of dry ice and some pixie dust from Tinker Bell will do it, don't forget to rub the dry ice all over your body. (Just kidding guys, please don't touch dry ice, bad things happen.)

ok guys I discovered a 100% foolproof way of disbling the chip, first superglue cheesy nachos on (they have to be cheesy) then follow the microwave method. leave over night.
Now spray paint both sides black and scratch the paint and the nachos all off using an angle grinder and a soft cloth (this may take awile).
Now soak the disk in liquid nidrogen and place in a moderate oven for 20-30 minutes or if it springs back when touched in the center (make sure you inhale plenty of the fumes, lol), now you are ready to burn, burn at 1x onto a name brand cd-r.
Now return the disk to the store, if they see a bit of the nacho/frozen disk/black paint, you may want to run like hell, oh and apart from that, happy playing.
Hey phuc if you get home can you please try this method, little jimmy ate all my nachos :-(

I would giva a serious answer to a question that made sense, eg what program do I bur a game with?
but a question such as "does every dvd at rental shop's game have a transmitter in it so that the government can track everyone down at any given moment no matter what they are doing with the game?"
sorry anyone who believed this crap, but isn't it pretty F*cking obvious when someone is taking a piss?

squizzle thanks for bringing that up i forgot the MOST IMPORTANT part of this method:
ok the disc that you create in my instructions isn't actually the one you want to use to play with. this disc is what is also known as a "mirror copy". You will want to copy this disc with the method i described to reverse the data around again. so the sequence will go like this...
original-->mirror-->working copy
if you didnt do this, you would have to start at the end of the game and work your way back to the beginning, ie credits, boss fight, last level, all the way to the first one.
the good thing about the mirror discs though is that you can make as many copies of them as you would like. if you are new to the whole "mirror-disc" method and want to test the waters a little bit before attempting some copies of real discs, you can always find mirrors online. all you have to do is a little bit of searching. a good site to start you off is http://mirrorcopies.org/copysection/warning/imadumbshit

The mirror copy will work. it will because if it is backwards then the directions on the disc that tells the ps2 how to spin will be backwards. so it will spin backwards and work
