As far as I know the 6680 can only be unlocked by the service provider.

I agree with pazzini.So far only the operators can unlock the basterd, so those guys that say that can unlock it at this moment are obviously not saying the true. Don't believe in everything you see on the net.

In order to do it I need the EMIE code everyone has been on about. How do I locate this on a locked phone which cannot be used? Buyer has phone and my old sim card has been either lost or destroyed.
Is there any way at all to locate this code now? Would 3 have it? Would they give it to me without charging?

The IMEI code is the ID of the phone. It is a unique code, so you don't need of the card you only have to turn the phone on (offline mode) and press *#06# .

Just one thing. I've got the software and I've been given 3 possible codes to try. How do you enter letters such as pw into the phone from it's locked status?

Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!

Just unlocked mine with this process - the code may be specific to my phone however - also take care: if you try 3 times and it doesn't work your phone will be locked for good!
Power off and remove sim then power on:
1) #
2) *** fast to get 'p'
3) **** to get 'w'
4) ** gives you '+'
5) 115912853016003
6) ** gives '+'
7) 1
8) # should give 'SIM restrictions taken off'
Please let me know if it works!

Each phone is unique. Your code will not work in another phone. We need to know how to grt codes for other phones.

6680 is a BB5 Nokia which means you will need to try and get your code from the original service provider, but will cost. There is no other way (at this time) to unlock it.

Only try the code once and once only!!!
Please remember you only get 3-5 attempts before your mobile becomes hardlocked.
If you have already tried different codes before mine your mobile could already be hardlocked.
If it is hardlocked you will get one the following messages Can Not Undo Restriction / Not Allowed
If you mobile is hardlocked the only way to unlock it is by taking/sending it to a professional unlocker.
Please make sure the information you give is correct before typing in the code.
Here is your code: #pw+487807600520416+7#
If the mobile gives no response/no message then do the following: Insert a non accepted sim, press the undo button, a box should appear saying enter restriction code, enter the code given and press ok
Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.

BB5 type phones such as 6280, 6630, 6681, 6682 or any N-Series phones,N-70, N-90 ect. or Tracfones can not be unlocked by this method.
Only the original service provider can unlock them.
BB5 Models are not supported: 3250, 6125, 6131, 6234, 6270, 6280, 6630, 6680, 6681, 6682, 7370, E60, E61, E70, N70, N71, N72, N80, N90, N91.
