...As for the people avoiding ISO, maybe thinking it was complicated...
It is the same number of steps- click, click, click!
Happy burning to you too!

No luck copying Cinderella Man. I have read through this entire thread. I am using the DVD Decrypter to rip the movie to my hard drive first, but it keeps erroring out at 54%. I have tried it with and without AnyDVD running. Any ideas?

AnyDVD also says removed invalid VOBS's for "Cry Wolf". I guess it will give me the same problem. Any ideas?

@jpell3,

Turn off AnyDVD and rip the disc with DVDD in the ISO Mode, Read R

If it will not rip then there are only a few reasons why
The disc is Dirty
The disc is scratched
Or, heaven forbid, It is a Bad Pressing. In which cash the only thing you can do is exchange the disc for another copy????.

@2oldgeek

I am using the DVD-5 discs to copy my ripped material too. I copy every post I make and then the answers I receive to go back n review my steps, so maybe I misunderstood the part of the method that follows "hit backup and tell shrink to burn with dvdd"; followed by, "place a blank disc in your drive". I understood it to mean once I decrypted and got it into an ISO file that once I decided to full backup or reauthor that it just automatically went to burn. Yes, I too came across Scuba Steve and loved his guides (I've told everyone about AD and Steve-wonderful assistance and fast answers, keep up the good work). OK 2 old were did I go wrong?

Cheers

Gee, I don?t know scuba Steve, But Scuba Petes Guide is here:

http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide13.html

I know, it?s hard reading because there?s no pictures, LOL

But if you want to make a perfect DVD5 Copy, This is the way to go?..

I was probably about half asleep when I put out the little Guides.. So forgive me for the mistakes?.. I am a programmer, not a writer?..

Just follow the above Guide. It uses only DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink, the only programs you?ll need.. And it will work for all the copyrighted movies too because it uses Decrypter in the ISO Read Mode?..

Use Good Discs and Pray a LOT? LOL

No worries I gots Scuba Steve on my favorites list now, LOL. OK so I did the method and encountered that pesky "out of memory" error that I wasn't suppose to get. How do I fix it? Oh and have I told you thank you for your patience?

Cheers

@ cyprusrom,

I tried the settings for DVD Decrypter that you suggested with ciderella man. It still didn't work. So, I tried cry wolf and it worked perfectly. I exchanged cinderella man and it worked also. Must have been a bad press. Thanks!

I am glad it worked for you. If you read some of the threads, you can see how varies movies give some people troubles and others have complete success with the same movies using the same methods. In many cases failure is due to user error or bad original disc, or just needs a little tweak.
Good luck burning!

Hi all.

I have a simular problem with Narnia. I could'nt get any program to copy it untill i tried CloneDVD, so i made an iso in full size, mounted it with Daemon, with the result: DVD Shrink makes an "invalid navigation structure" error, dvd-decrypter just shuts down, vobblanker errors out and shuts down.
I tried CloneDVD again, and got an nonfuncional iso.

I tried AnyDVD without succes, and i cannot find the 5.6.3.1 version any where.

Oh what to do ??

Hope u guys can help.

Lou, I use DVD43 - DVD Shrink - Nero 7.0
and had no problem copying Narnia. (It plays fine on both of my DVD players also.)

Porndoguk,

If you have an ISO file be sure to open it in Shrink as a Disc Image?

In Shrink click on File -> Open as Disc Image

See if that works?..

Gee, I don?t know, may be a corrupt file.
Try Nero Recode.
Being an ISO file makes it a little difficult to work with..
