Does this mean that you have to have 2.71 to get to 3.11 or if u just have 3.11 you can do this too? Just asking I dont have 3.11.
Firmware Database: Psp-TA-082>2.71>3.11 changed 2.00>1.5>3.10OE-A>3.30OE-A>1.5>3.30OE-A>1.5>3.40OE-A

no you must have 2.71 so that you can get 3.11 devhook on it

Where did you find that? Please provide a link.
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

Hey I have another question, but it's not a critical thing. I bought my PSP in Hong Kong, and as a result it has the different button configuration (o = enter, x = cancel). I've gotten quite used to that, and I was wondering if there's a way to emulate 3.11 with those settings. Like would I just need to get a Japanese EBOOT thing or what? Thanks for the help.

So basically all you're doing is installing Devhook 0.51 for 2.71, then placing files that are needed for Devhook 0.52 (except the ones that go in GAME) and doing the Devhook 0.52.0100 update and placing the 3.11 dump in your dh folder. Sorry if instructions are hard to follow.

Nope. But that's it. You can only brick if you run out of battery or turn off your PSP during the Flash Install part of Devhook. And it only lasts for a second so what are the chances of that?

I cant figure something out, I used dehook 0.4x 2.71 to get into 1.5fw mode. I then used the FW installer, it finsished completely, I restarted my psp and did teh HEND trick again so that I could go into Dehook 0.52 mode. Here's lies the problem though, once there, I select my game under file emulation, i select the settings i assume should be selected, I select start and the psp restarts but stays in 1.5 mode. No matter what settings I've tried in the devhook 0.52 menu it always returns to 1.5 mode. Wondering if im selecting wrong combination settings or is it something else??

try installing the .51 beta for 2.71, i basically followed psphobby's guide except added in the .51 beta for 2.71 and it works fairly well

Hi,
Installed and running OK (at least until now). I've used a method mixed from all three mentioned instructions:
- MidnightJ - to install devhook 0.51 with FW3.01;
- BrendanL and psphobby for devhook 052 with FW3.11;
I must to mention that from PSPhobby method, steps for installing devhook 0.51 installer are missing. So this one must be installed (as you can see in BrendanL method) previously to put devhook 052 and the update on memstick. If you don't do it then DEVHOOK 0.51 BETA for 2.71. will not be in your memstick!
!!!DEVHOOK 0.51 must be launched!!!NOT O.52!!!

Hi again,
I've read that some people used with previous version of devhook have problemes switching betheen iso's.
No Home+R or L is not working instead of this:
- push home and a menu will apear on screen;
- go with up/down arrows to UMD IMAGE;
- with </> arrows choose the mode :UMD/Or emulation. If you have more that 1 ISO on memstick this will cycle through them.

I have a question for ANYONE who can do this........... Will someone put 1 and only 1 COMPLETE guide (step by step) on how to take a 2.71 to 3.11? There are so many different versions of how to do this. Many steps are being left out of the existing guides and then links are given with extra steps and then those links are no longer available. I, and I am sure many others, would appreciate it if someone could post 1 COMPLETE step by step guide with ALL of the links to the software needed. I have been at this for many hours and still cannot get this to work.

My guide isn't good. I remember there was an okay one but it no longer exists. That guide help me install Devhook that allowed me to emulate 3.02, then I took it from there and found a way to emulate 3.11.

Could anyone probably explain it step by step??
And for my psp,it's already fw2.71 with Devhook 4x launcher for 2.71 so do I need to delete
the existing devhook and reinstalled devhook 0.51 with fw 3.11.

How about this, when I get home from work, I'll try to RAR my PSP memory stick and upload it to fileshack or putfile. Once I've gotten that done, I'll post the link and hopefully it'll work? Good? (hopefully it'll be small enough to upload and download quickly)
