Well, I got good news and bad news... The show was freaking awesome!!! An absolute stunning display by all the bands involved... The bad news is that my phone died so I was only able to get two short Dream Theater clips. One got ended short because I got yelled at by security, and the second is when my phone actually died... Sorry, ZoSoIV I tried my my best to get DT video and would have been able to if my phone didn't die...
Will upload and post link once I get the chance...

I wouldn't say the guy from security was the d-bag.

Its not like I was using a high quality camera or anything... What about the 100 other people taking pictures? If you visit the website for the tour http://www.progressivenation2008.com it has a link to where you can UPLOAD your videos and photos you've taken at the shows... And yet I got yelled at for taking them???

Kanye West glow in the dark tour... by far the best concert ever.
The stage was designed by the people who did muppets and the guy who made nightmare b4 christmas....
It was a space odyssey theme with a huge screen on the back of the stage representing the spaceship monitor with a robot voice that he talks to and the stage itself was made to look like the moon with craters and mountains.
Oh and to top it off Kanye was standing on a big platform that represents a spaceship and rises and rotates and blew out smoke and lazer beams...
And all this was glow in the dark when the lights went off!
plus NERD, Lupe Fiasco,Pharelle, and Rihanna was all there.
5 hour long concert. $250 floor seats 4 rows back...worth every penny.
no one can top this...Kanye dont play he goes all out.
cell phone pic..kinda bad but you get the idea.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

I am sooooo pissed - I come home this afternoon cutting short being outdoors enjoying the great weather here to get ready for Avenged Sevenfold tonight only to find this:
TONIGHT'S AVENGED SEVENFOLD SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ARTIST ILLNESS.
The Box Office will be in touch regarding the rescheduling of the show ASAP.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
-Rams Head Live
This sucks - in all the years I've been going to concerts and I go to quite a few - I've never had this happen. What sucks too is Ram's Head Live is a small club that great to see bands at - it's usually a great time.
Grrrrrrrrrrr...

Raging Kipper at the Crown and Flicknife in Bolton... never seen the like before or since...Believe.. I have seen some weird stuff in my time as a live sound engineer and Kipper take the cake for quality and atmosphere.. one of those nights when it just happened.... and the smell lingered for weeks after. (and I got paid to be there!!)
I'm not one for this "stadium rock" stuff.. boring overpriced rubbish if you ask me... Nothing better than an incredible/unbelievable/unclassifiable band in a small sweaty overcrowded venue to really bring back the proper meaning of rock.

The Trivium/All That Remains show was incredible... The place should have been shut down there was so many people there... Even Phil Labonte (Vocals for All That Remains) is gloating about how incredible the show was. Alot of my friends are telling me they're so jealous because of how close I was (none of the photos are zoomed in). I don't think they realized the hell it is to walk through a 1000 person mosh pit and how much it hurts.
Next show I'm going to is on December 6th, at the Worcester Palladium. In Flames, Gojira, 36 Crazyfists (who I have already seen twice), and ALL THAT REMAINS
Below is a link to the few photos I was able to take in the giant mosh pit called Toad's Place.

On October 1st 1969, I saw James Brown's "Sex Machine" tour live in Augusta GA. The "Sex Machine" CD/LP (back then) is still one of the best selling "live" CD's/LP's of all time. If there was a better "live" band I want to know it. Thanks!!

I went to Slipknot & Trivium too, February 6th... I don't consider Coheed to even be a part of that tour... We were throwing things at them their whole set and chanting multiple profanities... You have to remember it was a crowd full of Massholes (we take pride in that term) and we have booed many a band off the stage...
Still considering hitting up Music As A Weapon 4...
And as for Mayhem Fest, we get the Saturday show as usual... The best part is that I'll be 21 this year so I can drink and not have to worry about alcohol compliance like last year, standing there doublefisting watching kids getting chased and dropped and dragged out for beer... Then there's the fact that I'll finally get to use my Meet and Greet pass for All That Remains... Last time they had to drop from the tour a few weeks before my show...

Yeah what is up w/ Coheed & Cambria opening? They opened for Korn at a show I saw last year. I wanted to see Trivium but had no interest in seeing Coheed so we wanted til the last minute to go. We still caught a couple of their songs though. They actually had quite a few fans there which surprised me.
Wow turning 21 this year! It's been quite a few years since I had to worry about not being of legal drinking age :) I usually spend more on alcohol at the show then I do for the tickets :) Then again when drinks are $8 a pop it's not that hard to do.

We had Trivium open and THEN coheed... I was very upset... Nevermind the venue i went to (to which i shall not return) was TAKING everyone's smokes at the door... I snuck mine in cause i'm good like that but that wasn't right of them to do...
I spend way too much money at beer at shows too... 100 bucks last year at mayhem fest... ouch! i could've had a party with that much money!

Wow I haven't seem them take smokes in this area b/4. I quit 3 months but used to always take a pack of cigs with me to the shows. They usually have outdoor smoking areas.
Yeah Trivium opened then Coheed so I saw none of Trivium.
That is the one downfall of concerts - all the money you pay at the show!
One place I will never go again is DAR in DC. Went to see Godsmack there. Drinks were not allowed at your seats - you had to drink them in the hallway. Then as soon as Godsmack started the bars closed up. According to DAR it was due to the type of show - whatever.
