Did that (SV3NTL03May2008.bin) but no luck.

I took out the cable and they both droped to 0%
I turned on EMU and went to sky sports. It said channel moved please wait for saving but then nothing just black screen. Most other channels do the same.
Are the keys just for encrypted channels and I dont need to worry about that yet?

OK sorry cannot comment on keys here as its against rules ;) Looks like your tuner may be faulty. I say this because you have tried all firmwares and even tried it at a friends house.
Stick with the firmware that gave you the most TPs and try a booster, see if this improves it. Do a factory reset and rescan to clear the CDF you just used.

Im starting to think it's buggered :)
It just started acting weird a few day ago I never flashed it before it went nuts. I'll try 8.00 again after a factory reset.

Sorry I havent got an updated SV3 bin file as I took it off my mams b0x when I had it here :(
Just a quick question , have you got your N*L pipe in the back of the SV "Cable Input" port ?

As Scouser mentioned , try the version that gave you the most TP's and connect it back to your TV and try this
Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete
Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit
Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON
Exit , exit , exit

Did as you said (I used 8.00 gave me TPs 2,3,4,6,7 out of 28)
automatic scan and 0 program found.
Does the modulator have anything to do with it the the user setup?
it's set to pal-g/ch-38

In user set up the modulator is fine as it is.
Ok try this
Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete
Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Manual Scan
You should now see "Down Freq" , type in 339500
Symbol Rate = 6887
Constellation = 64 QAM
Network Scan = Enable
Press OK to scan
Exit back all the way and see if you gain any with that freq ?

Did that and it did scan but found nothing.
It has a level and quality of around 80% for those settings.
I can only exit as far back as the language selection...
I guess cos I have no channels

i do still watch the box sc0user but i have been busy and we have a starview 2 downstairs which i started watching more because of rebooting. now i usually watch that one because i'm used to it but when i can't watch it i watch the one upstairs which should stop rebooting now.

So long story short...
My box knows there's a signal at certain frequencies but cannot show the picture/sound.
I guess it IS buggered?
I saw a guy on Ebay that is selling them in Dublin, I might ask him to fix mine for 50Euro or something... unless anyone got any cheper ideas...
He said he would look at it for 30 Euro...Do you think I should try him?
Is there anything else I can do before giving it to him?
Maybe he wont be able to fix it.. who knows.

He probably gets his info from here :) Is he thinking of jtagging or is he looking at caps, tuner etc. Or is he going to do what you have already done and charge you?

yep sc0user. if you wait......you usually get what you want. waiting is annoying but worth it in the end. i could have broke or returned or bricked the box but i waited and it was worth it :)
returning it is like waiting for a bus and deciding to walk and the bus passes you half way there. annoying lol.

the best thing about the box now is that you can actually watch tele with it. the primary reason :)

hi guys..
ok 1st , most likely there is nothing wrong with ur Super Box....
The latest batch of Super boxes have glitches with the firmware....
i recieved a batch on Monday with latest firmware 8.00 installed...
these are a bit erratic on scnanning , in particular freq 339500 (RTE1/2 plus others)
When this batch of Super box are programmed with older firmware (pre 8.00) they pick up NO channels......of any kind!!!!!
At present iam using v8.00 , when i do a auto scan on a N*l feed in a 2nd room through a TV booster i get 176 channels found, it does not pick up freq 339500 (rte1/2) when i do a manual scan on this freq it still wont pick up 339500, but when i connect a older BOX/SUPER i receive these channels.....strange!
My solution to MY problem was TO bring teh Super Box to teh direct n*l cable into teh house (bypassing splitters boosters etc) and manully scan 339500 , this found teh missing channels..
i have also been told that there is fix due soon to rectify this problem!!

Always scan from the direct feed on initial set up. If you are talking about a fix 7.09 was brought out last week.

hi you are probably very sick of me by now so sorry that code worked but he is missing loads of stations still could comeone please talk me through step by step how to rescan all channels on the box super sorry if thats a dumb question but i have no idea
