Prairie Oysters? Is this something that's chewed and swallowed or just licked?

This is an easy one. I haven`t had them, but have made fun of them since primary school. I couldn`t stop laughing when read Nephilim`s comment

To give clues so you know I know but don't want to give away, the are generally obtained from male animals, they have become a little harder to get due to current Canadian scare back in April, and tyically fried. I actually would like to try them when if ever I go to California. I have heard they are quite good.

Prairie Oysters have something in common with Haggis, both come from sheep. And Neph, that comment was amazing, you'll understand why soon enough.

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."

Yes, can be either from sheep or bulls. The Bulls balls I have heard are the best. But now with all this BSE, they are harder to obtain.

Well I'm a complete ass now aren't I? I'm totally red in the face now. I will not nor will I ever lick any sheep's balls!!!!!! Not even 10 pints would get me close.

I should've figured this one out - my Dad's from Kansas. I always knew them as Rocky Mountain Oysters. Then you have turkey fries too. Somebody actually figured out that turkey's have nuts and they're "good" to eat.

Does it have anything to do with Yasser Arafat?

NO more complicated then thouse. Hummus is just crushed up chickpeas with tahani (sesamed paste), Baba is just eggplant with tahani. I have a recipe for thouse if any one wants to save $20 and make it rather than buying it.

Its not a pie, but some may argue if it should be eaten with a spoon or fork.

To give it away see:
http://www.touregypt.net/recipes/recipeweek07232001.htm

But if you can also contiue to guess, you have almost limited it down any ways.

Fattah sounds really good although I'm not familiar with some of the ingredients - mastic, cardamom and ghee. Are they different names for common spices or are they exotic?

How about a change from Mexican to Filipino. My sister in law is Filipino and makes a wonderful treat called "siopao". Any guesses?
