Updating to 3.40 OE-A

If i have a custom XMB theme installed, will updating to 3.40 OE-A change it or brick my PSP? Haven't updated to a new custom firmware in a while so i just want to make sure. Been at 3.03 OE-C forever.

Dude. 3.03OE-C is officially old! I have custom XMB and it dindnt changed the psp at all. It just changed it to the original, and I put the XMB again and it worked the same. 3.40OE-A rocks...

Good to hear that Midnight. How is that Psp of yours behaving at the moment?

Can anyone tell me the new features that have been added to this FW from 3.02oeb i havent updated in a while lol
and can anyone give me some instructions on how to update from 3.02oe-b to 3.40 oe-a

Hey
I upgraded to 3.40oe-a & somehow when I access the recovery menu and select configuration, nothing shows up...Just the blue background you normally see with the recovery menu...This means that once I access configuration..I'm pretty much stuck...& have to hard reset the psp..
Can anyone explain this, and if so...what do I need to do to get everything to normal?

Hi!
Maybe my question is answered 100 times, but wherever i look for the answer it didn't help me(poor me):)
Here is the question?
I bought one week ago PSP.I start the PSP and made an upgrade to version 3.40.
Reading thru this forum i didn't realise what should i do to update my PSP to custom firmware so i can play games from my memorystick.
If there is anyone who can explain to me i will be very greatfull.

u mean 3.40?? official sony fw??
then u can do nothing to go to custom firmware coz there are no downgrader 4 3.40 yet...sory man...

Good i have never had a problem with my PSP. Works completly fine. Fully custom also. (XMB)

Since you updated to 3.40 there is no way to play downloaded games/backup games off your memory stick, and you will probably have to wait a while because there isn't even a downgrader for 3.10 or 3.11 yet. And none for 3.30 or 3.40. You need to downgrade to version 1.50 then upgrade to 3.40 OE-A to play games off your memeory stick. Any custom firmware works fine, just 3.40 OE is the newest. But again, no way to get games working off your memory stick with 3.40.
