Problem with ARMax w/EVO. Please Help.

I just bought a ARMax w/EVO for the PS2 and when I try to access the Memory Manager, it makes my TV look like I'm trying to load a PAL format game. Has anyone else had this happen or know what's going on?

I tried calling the company and they said it has something to do with the coding on the disc for this version. I just didn't know if there was a solution that I can do, I really hate mailing stuff to the distrubuters.
