GoW2 Freeze problem

Is there a patch for this game to use with a HDD?

I have a PS2 with a DMS4pro mod chip, and a 300gb HD.

I copied my entire GoW2 game onto my PS2's HDD (7.94gb). I can play through the game without any problems untill one point:



*****Possible Spoilers*****





-At the "Great Chasm". Right after the save point on the bridge before Icarus. The game goes through the cut scene without a hitch, but when Kratos and Icarus are falling and fighting, the game just freezes. This happens right after Kratos headbutts Icarus. I get a still image, and the music is still playing. Anybody else have this problem and solved it? or can anybody help?

I'm thinking the ISO would have to be patched since I just copied the 7.94gb image from the original disc, and transfered it to my PS2's HD via WinHIIP.
