I backed up a copy of one of my games and when I try to play the backup. The Xbox doesn't read it, It's softmodded and I have Evolution-X on it.

That's what I use. By the way the game is GTA: San Andreas.

This is what i would do:
Turn on the xbox and go to apps, dvdtoxbox and insert gta then when it is finished putting in in the games folder FTP to your xbox and get that folder and put it on the desktop of your computer. then open your iso creator like qwix and make the iso file from the folder on your desktop.
then burn it and tell us how it goes

Hm, I really just pop the game in, and then FTP the game from the DVD drive. Are you using Dual Layer, because for some reason I think San Andreas is too big to fit on a normal disk, however I could be wrong.
Heres how I do it:
*-Pop in the game
*-Connect to XBox via FlashFXP
*-FTP the game from the DVD Drive
*-Make an ISO with QWIX
*-Burn with Imgburn at X4 speed using Maxell DVD+R
Works like a charm every time : ).

Try DVD+R, and use the technique were Imgburn, and QWIX are involved.

I just backed up Midtown Madness 3 and it works perfectly. I don't know, GTA might have something wierd on it, causing the disc not to play.
