Hi all,

I purchased a modded PS2 in China a couple of months ago, and have tried ever since to get it to play online games.

Regular game play works fine; but when going online it stops at the DNA verification. Still after numerous attemts to patch games with the correct DNA code it still gives me the error -833, which I believe is caused by a region mismatch between console and game.

Both NTSC and PAL games give me the same DNA error message [-833].
I believe the console is PAL.

I have done my searching.

Any advice on what could be wrong is very much appreciated.
