Hello,

I have a Pioneer 111L using TDB's 8.29 firmware
I open up Nero CD-DVD Speed
I press EXTRA at the top choose bitsetting

It says that DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL are booktyped to DVD-ROM
But when i put in a disk in under DISK SETTINGS it says

Current disk type: DVD+R DL
Current book type: DVD+R DL

Does that mean the disk will be burnt as DVD+R DL, or DVD-ROM

It's because you have put a blank disc in your drive that's why it will write DVD+R DL under both current disk type and current booktype.But once you burn the disc which will be automatically booktyped to DVD-ROM,then it will write as current disk type:DVD+R DL and current booktype:DVD-ROM.

After using clonecd or imgburn for burning,a better way of checking that is to download and install a program called DVD Identifier(freeware)where it will give you the exact information about the current disk type and booktype,your media ID and manufacturer's name,etc.
