Emulator help, PLEASE!!

I bought ARmax a few weeks ago,and have been trying to run emulators off of it. I recently discovered my version of ARmax didnt have max media player on it, so i traded it in,and bought a different version with media player on it. I have succesfully burned snes station and got the emulator to work,but it cannot read any roms. What do I need to do?? Also I have tried 20x to get imbnes to work. With no success. Do I have to always create a disc image using max media creator? I really want to play nes on my ps2, Please can someone help me. BTW, i have Nero,and alchol 120 cd burning programs.
