SATA DVD-ROM question

In a tutorial I have or flashing my xbox 360 for the first time it says that it could be easier just using a hotswap method.... and they that ur dvd-rom drive must be a SATA DVD-ROM drive and they said the samsung SH-D163A was compatible. I have a samsung SH-D162A with the kreon version 0.81 firmware....would that drive be an SATA DVD-ROM drive so that i could just use the hotswap method?

If you have that drive then you should be fine. Using that is the easiest way to make backups. Search the forums for info.
