I was playing my 360 when in game i got a sorta red checkered screen of death and it keeps doing it even if there is no game or hdd in the system. any ideas why or how to fix the problem?

sounds like the video, power down, disconnet and clean contacts on video cables, and re-try. or before it goes down for real send it in and get looked or do the "swap" with a new system at wal-mart.
