Hi all.

need some advice on setting up a split cable.

need to split main coax cable feed so that it connects to broadband modem and dbox2.

all current advice just says get a splitter adapter.

Understand i need an adapter but surely I need some cableing running out the other end of adapter?

do i simply need 2 standard coax cable leads that will plug into adapter and modem/dbox??

also, should this method keep a strong enough signal strength to operate broadband and dbox??

thanks in advance for any info

I've split my cable using a "F-Type 2 way splitter" so I can view cable in 2 rooms. EBay have them for sale at reasonable prices (less than £5).

Your cable goes into the splitter and then you'll need 2 more cables (one for each Dbox). The signal will be lower but you can get a booster from Argos for like £10. Buy it, then if it doesn't make a difference, return it and get your money back.

As for a modem/dbox, if someone says it works, then it probably does.
