I've done a lot a searching but can't find a whole lot on this subject, most the threads are out of date since the game has been out for a long time now. I have GT4 (orig, not a backup) and I want to put it on HDloader because my PS2 laser is dying and GT4 froze last time I played it. So I start up HDloader and go to 'install', put in my GT4 disc and hit OK and it says "Not a valid PS2 disc!". Obviously it is, but HDloader can't detect it for one reason or anothere (because it's dual layer or something i imagine). I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me the easiest way to get GT4 working on HDloader without pointing me to other threads if possible, but I'll be thankful for help of any kind.
You probly have to use winhiip to install it onto the hdd.
Probly need a dual layered dvd in your computer and rip it with dvd decryptor, then transfer it over with winhiip.

??? You dont need to burn it to a dual dvd.
You just rip it on the com, then plug the hdd into the pc.
Run Winhiip then install it through that.
Plug hdd back in ps2 and load up the latest hdloader.

You just said above that i'd need dual layered DVD in my comp? Don't I need to use the toolboy fix? Sure you know what you're talking about in this case? GT4 is trickier to put on HDloader than most games.
Oh yeah I meant a dual layered dvd rom/writer in your computer :)
And I thought that GT4 got fixed with the latest patched hdloader 0.8b.
You just rip the full DVD-9 iso to your computer (thats where you need the dual layered rom) then transfer using winhiip. The latest hdloader should be able to play it.
