OK, here is the problem. i got a brnd new psp 1.5 on ebay, and this guy has sold thousands. i got it, and after 2 mins, the screen went black, turned off. so i reflashed it to 3.40OEA thinking it would solve the problem. it worked fine for a while. but now, its even worse. it comes on after 2mins, but as soon as i press andy button, it shuts off the screen. battery is full. all works fine except for the screen. please help asap, ive only had this psp for 5 hours, and its already fucked!

tell the seller and he'll prob. just replace it as long as u havent given him a feedback yet cuz what he gave u is crap that prob. has a realy bad flash
ps try running flash0 formatter it might help ur problems

this seems to be a common thing i dont use custom firmware due to the fact i brought mine at 3.10

but what you need to to do is try and change over the backlight settings...

alot of people on the forums having been having this problem and its something to do with the screen saver settings...
