ghost case mod problem HELP!!! ?

ok i put a clear blue ghost case on my ps2 slim and when i turn the power on the cd doesn't spin????? even though the reset button works ...its like the motor for the cd player is not turning on???

i put back on the original black slim case and it spins and works perfix????

i put back on the ps2 ghost case and the cd won't come on again?????


this very weird issue???

anyone have any ideas? how fix it soo the cd motor will turn on in the ghost case???

sounds like the case isnt pressing one of the lid sensors. Did it come with any metal peaces that you didnt fit.

i think now that i look at it again the case lids are different...hummmm guess its a different model than the ghost case , is thier a lot of different ps2 silms .....ill have to look for a model of ghost case that is compatable????

my ghost case is for ps/2 700XX

my playstation model is SCPH-70001

???? didn't know slim ps2 was made different , fit together good?

it wasn't very easy to put the screws in the blue case ....the holes for the screws were not deep enough and the head of one screw was made of cheap china metal ...screw head was messed up from me trying to get it in...i had to take it out with vise scrips

alot of cussing on this project

i messed up the reset switch ...it fell of the circit board ..i had to tape it on ...very getto now ...ordered a new reset switch

ill try to fix it thanks for your commit about the lid alot of help TY !!!!

ok this is wierd the ps2 clear blue top section won't start the cd drive motor?

i got the clear blue bottom and the black original case together

maybe some contacts not working right ?? spent 2 1/2 hours tonight no luck and need all new screws the heads are gone from taking it apart 23 times

all i got in a pretty clear blue playstation that won't start the drive ....but i can get into my memory card ??? no disk icon because the cd drive never started to read disk????

ANY help is welcome ???

ok i give up this clear blue case is a lemon .....the problem is the lid and the metal contacts in the henges , i tryed the original contacts for the lid they are better made but didn't work ...i found out that the drive motor won't turn on is one is missing in the black original case

now i guess ill play some burnout dominator been a ruff night!!

4 hours of the mod case from hell

ill have nightmares tonight!!!

updated !!!!! worked on it tonight got it to work!!!

ok the blue clear ghost case henges are not long enough to trip the tiny black switch when you close the lid...to fix it i put a wraper from a hershey's mini candy bar and folded it soo that it is tin foil on the outside and thiers a way to place it soo that when the lid closes it hits the folded wraper and turns on the cd rom when i close the lid.

kanda funny how i fixed it with candy bar warper !

i need no more help !!! cheers!!!
