Yeah i see all over u need to run a disc to boot games from ur HDD. THough my ps2 is pretti bad.

Its and SCPH-50001 and it turns on, has a mod chip too. Now iget the DRE's, i changed the lens to a working one, now theres a clicking noise. Games, DVD's, all that wont work still!

Im planning on addin an HDD

Western Digital - 120gb
MODEL NUMBER - WD1200JB-75CRA0

But u need to run a disc to boot from hdd, with a messed up disc is it possible?

well sounds pretty bad DatDuD3 what I recomend it that you install the memory card exploit so you load up with a ps1 game (they are alot easier on the lens and they are pretty cheap

If your modchip has onboard memory then you can put hdloader on that.
But you will have to look up the type of modchip you have and see if it has it or not.

Dont know how you would have to configure it though.
