Hey guys, I need some help figuring out what's going on with my set-up. I'm going to list the steps I took in a few details. It's long but informative, so hopefully we can figure out what's going on. Please ask me questions if something is not clear.

PS2 Status: Pre Mod
PS2 Worked
PS2 Version: SHCP-77001a
Motherboad: GH-051-02

Mod Chip Status
I recently modded my PS2 with a Duo 3 Gold mod chip.
I performed the modification myself.
I used a ESD wrist strap and followed safety precautions.
I filed down my 15W soldering iron with sand paper to get a fine point.
I used 62/36/2 solder with a .022 diamter. It worked well.
I checked adjacent solder points with a multimeter for shorts using the continuity beeper function.
No shorts.
I double checked all solder points to make sure they were all in the right spots.

PS2 Status: Post Mod
After reassembly the PS2 booted fine.
The PS2 Plays my original games.
The PS2 will not play burned games/ISOs.
Any burned game brings up the red screen.
If I hold down the "Start" button while booting the Duo's "DISABLED" screen appears as it should.

Media Status
DVD Burner: SONY DVD RW DRU-710A BYX3(revised Firmware).
Attempts with Sony DVD+R's at 4X result in failure.
Attempts with Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's at 4X result in failure.

Software Status
CD-DVD Generator to make .iml files.
Apache 2 to build .iso's from .iml files.
Alcohol 120% to burn iso's.
DVD-Decryptor to burn iso's.

Alrighty, now that the information is out there. I hope that someone can deduce the root of my problem. Also, if this needs to be moved out of Newbie Chat, that's fine. I just ask that a moderator would please PM to where it goes to, though.

just for kicks try this.
take an original game and use DVD Decrypter to make the image and burn it on the TY discs.
Mode-ISO-Read (create ISO and MDS files)
Mode-ISO-Write, load the MDS file into DVD Decrypter, set burn speed at 4X (if using 8X max speed DVD's, you may have to go to 6X or even 8X with a 16X speed DVD)

the method you are using is way to involved when DVD Decrypter can do the whole process for you.

I will try your process to see if a regular back-up works.

I had edited some stuff from Guitar Hero II and was trying to get an image from the computer back to an ISO then to burn. The process comes from another site, if you would like to check it out PM me.

No go on both 4X, 6X, and 8X burning speeds.

and that was with the original unmodded image right?
Do you have any friends with modded systems you can test the games on? If they work on your friends system then it would narrow it down to the chip install, or just that the chip itself is bad.

Correct.

I thought about doing that, I just don't know of anyone in my area with a modded PS2.
