I'm trying to burn a ogm file with this but I've been running through a snag with ogms. Whenever I try and burn it I get a error just seconds after clicking the Convert button.

This is the log of the error I get when I try and convert this:

ConvertX is supposed to work with .ogm.
Does the video play ok?

VirtualDubMod should open it ok (I suppose that would prove that it's a good file),but all that can do is convert it to AVI.

The video plays great when I use a player but when I play it on ConvertX I get a gray screen and when I scan through the movie it looks bad.

I don't know of any other programs to convert it to DVD.
Perhaps,Super©

I know it can create an .OGG, but unsure about .OGM

Or try VDub and save as AVI, then use ConvertX to convert the AVI to DVD.

ok when I check Video>Full Processing>Compression the only microsoft ones I can pick are:
MS H.261
MS H.263
MS RLE
MS Video 1

I Other thank that there are a few others on the list but nothing that says MPEG-4

Edit: Ok I think I figured it out. its making the AVI now. Before you posted your last comment I saved as and made one already but it did not have any sound but I'll see if this one works, if not then I'll be back.

ok trying it again

Edit: every time I try this it looks like it is not putting the audio cause the "Audio Data" is still saying 0 bytes and "current audio sample" is 0/0

Edit 2: ok tried it again with this one but no audio recorded with this AVI again.

ok I did the Video>full prosses mode>compression>MS MPEG-4 VKI codec V1>ok>streams>stream list>there is 2 choices here and I pick the first one and right click it and turn on full process mode>compression>MPEG layer-3>56kb>ok>ok>save as...

Thats what I did with it and its giving me that problem.

Edit3: tried with alot of different ways and still cant figure out why it wont recored the audio along with the video. I made sure I didint shut off the audio when i right click the audio stream.

huh123 why don't you run your file through g-spot and see what tells you?

Also, immediately after loading it into VDUB, click 'file' and 'save wav'.
Then play the wav to make sure there is something to hear.

ok when I saved the wav there is sound. Now is there a way for me to keep both audio tracks that are on this? Cause I noticed that when I save as there is a option to make it a mkv.

Edit: hahaha I did just that (saving to mkv) and NOW its showing its recording audio for both tracks. I recently recorded with a diffrent mkv and I dont have a problem with it unless it has a subtitle inside that mkv but I already know how to extract it and put it in convertx.

Though its making the mkv as we speak. so I'll see if it will work and preview good with convertx.

Edit 2: Alright! It previews great in convertx as a mkv and has both audio tracks! Thanks guys for guiding me through vdub.

I forgot that VirtualDubMod could also save .mkv (face red)
