i was wondering if someone could point me to a quick tutorial, or explanation, to combine 2 *.avis using VirtualDub w/o changing any video/audio settings.
LOL... benifit of a doubt: Provided the audio/video framerates are the same then just open up the 1st clip and then File --> Append AVI Segment. Repeat this until you have added all the segments. When done, Video --> Direct Stream Copy, File --> Save as AVI...
To clarify, 30 sec after i first posted i found a tutorial in another forum. http://www.polarhome.com/~afonic . That's why i'm dumb.
i usually rip full movies. When i tried to rip a bunch of .vobs into one divX, the audio was way off by the end of the movie. So, i wanted to individually encode each divX and paste them together w/ VDub. Amending each one helped a little, the audio is still off by a touch, but its more barable. I'll mess around w/ it some more.
I guess this is a lesson for all noobies to read before you post.
i used the tutorials from afterdawn (ie. DVD2AVI, VDub, VFAPI, 5.01 codec)
I loaded the 9 vobs into DVD2AVI. (For example, if i wanted to convert all of the animatrix shorts as one movie.) Got the audio and video files. Followed the rest of steps. When VDub finished, the audio/video didn't match.
Whenever i did full movies w/ one VOB, it always came out perfect.
