I have an nec nd2100ad burner that I have been using to burn video onto Fuji DVD+R at 8x. Will my burner still work with new media that is 16x or do I need updated firmware? I can't find my old Fuji at 8x so I am trying to see what my options are. Thanks for the help.

If you need a firmware update - update it.
If this is a Dell pc the latest is 106F.

Not sure all the media codes that were added but I would hope some where for 16x media.
There is this blurb on Dell's site:
Allows drive to burn new media that has recently come into the market

Another option is buying online like 8x Taiyo Yuden. If those Fuji's are made in Japan then they are more than likely made by Taiyo Yuden.
If you're in the US you can check out supermediastore.

Verbatim are also usually pretty compatible even with the 8x burners.

One of my 8x burners - a LiteOn does well w/ 16x Taiyo, Verb and believe it or not Memorex made by Ritek. But I wouldn't recommend trying the Memorex - the LiteOn has had more recent firmware updates then your NEC so that may be why.
