Hello, I picked up a X-box at a garage sale for 5 bucks. I have a Flash programmer and a smd hot air soldering station and was wondering if I can pull the bios and re flash it. If so what flash and is there any benefits to doing it that way. Also the hard drive is belly up. I was able to get it to boot a couple of times but there is definitely a problem with it. My intentions were to use as a front end for my linux media machine but was not aware of swapping the HD needed a molded bios. Thanks
