DMC 3 troubles, burned holes in dvd??

i just burned an ISO of devil may cry 3 special edition using toast titanium for mac. it was working perfect the first few hours, until i got to the 7th level and the loading took about 5 minutes. I took out the disc and noticed either 2 little scratches or burns in the DVD-R i used. Ive burned about 6 other games and they are all fine. I use sony DVD-R, so i dont think its a media issue. Im also using swap magic 2.0. What could be the problem with DMC3? thanks.
