Just joined, so i'm hoping this is posted in the right place.

I have gotten cogswap working useing armax, i just mainly want to try it out and know that to load the game's i need to put in an original dvd of a ps2 game then use the slide trick to put in a 'backup'

now this is what i need to know -

1. What is the best way to take the disc tray front off any pictures or video's maybe will help? and is it possible without braking it
2. If it's possible and easy to get it off without snapping it in half and such can it be put back on at any time?
3. Useing the slidetrick, can this somehow brake the ps2?

I dont actually have the card you slide in, but i just mainly want to get the tray off first.

Also i am useing a fat ps2 not a slimline

1. open the tray and power off with the switch on the back. the tray should still be open now. lay the ps2 on its back. look for a small black screw. unscrew it. there are tabs holding the faceplate on, you can gently move it out little by little on each side til its completely out (thus not breaking the tabs). applying heat too the tabs makes them maleable and less likely to break also (but creates a fire hazard near the ps2...). rescrew the screw.
2. yes. even one tab will work.
3. no, but modchip makers will have you believe otherwise... i've been sliding for 2 years now and there have been no problems.
