Carrier clarification on the 3220b.

The phone is an AT&T phone. When I migrated to Cingular I had to get a new phone. My phone is now broken and I'd like to use the old 3220b phone. The sim card I'd like to use in it is Cingular.

Thanks. I tried it first with sim card removed but nothing happened.
When I first turn on the phone, it says to insert sim card. If I ignored that message and just key in the code, nothing happens. So I tried it after inserting sim card. Then it said enter code, after which I got "code error". I only tried it once with the sim card and once without.

Any suggestions?

It didn't work.
Sidebar....I have to press OK once I enter the code. Should I try it again without the # ?

3220b clarification on entering code.

1 Although your instructions say to remove sim card. A sim card MUST be inserted; if not, nothing happens.

2 After the cell phone is powered on, I received the "phone restricted" error, at which point I must press "undo"

3 The next screen reads, "Enter restriction code", then shows a box

4 Once code is entered I press OK

Is it possible that I don't need to enter the # signs?

Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
Press the UNDO option
You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
Enter the code given and then press (OK)
