Weird audio playback problem

I am hoping someone may have come accross this problem before, I have created a DVD-R using captured footage, run it through Besweet to encode the audio as ac3, compiled with DVD-Lab, and burn't using Nero, all is well when playing through my computer and standalone Toshiba player, but when trying to play it in a Pioneer standalone, the menus work fine the opening video plays fine(title only no audio) but when the main video plays it locks up as soon as the audio tries to play, fast forwarding, results in tiny snippits of sound.. any ideas??
