I have a 3.03oe-c and i was wondering what the benefit and downside to upgrading to 3.40 oe-a is

Well you can have full resolution video's (480x272), play way more psx games, and still customizable! There's probably more I just can't think of much.

I noticed a lot of people went back to 3.03oe-c while i was browsing the forums is this b/c its better?

as far as i know, there is an issue with f1 in this OE...plus its a lot easier to semi-brick than former OE's (via custimization)....kinda a hastle, but...damn that new vid resolution is worth it...

me personally im on 3.30OE-A' it is a lot more stable plus i can use cintro.(i dont care about full res vids)

Upgrading to 3.40 after 3.10 semi-brick last night. I don't really care about the unstability... as long as it stays SEMI-Bricked.

3.40 isnt that much safer than 3.10.. try 3.30 OE-A'; from what i hear it is the best thing next to OE-C until 3.40 OE-C comes out (if it ever does)

u will like it gas. i didnt know how cool cintro is but it is pretty sweet. im useing the flashless cintro, you can find it on qj.net

right on! im on 3.30 OE-A' right now, and can customize all except my topmenu....still having trouble...
I dont know if you have heard about the rGameboot seplugin(random gameboots) from dl.qj.net; but I am currently working on a newer version for 3.03OE+ users...so that all of your random gameboots can be stored on the ms0 & not f0 or f1....
good sauce in the works...
not to figure out this damn topmenu...

i would say yes...as far as i can see, it is the most customizable OE out, unless you can use cintro for 3.40 OE...otherwise i would have to say 3.40....
