List of Resources Being Used
----------------------------------
1) XBox 360 w/ Samsung MS28
2) Syba VIA PCI Card Installed (VIA6421) - Not sure what rev. it is vt6421A, vt6421L, etc. -- Does it matter?
3) NTFSDOS CD
- Cannot Scandisc Cruzer U3 2GB USB Storage Device to work...
4) TEXTBOOK.PSD -- I have read it many times over.
What I've Tried...
-------------------------------
1) Xtreme Boot Maker: Created directory C:\XTREME (contains hacked firmware)
- Boot up my PC and XBOX360, waited for the command prompt, then plugged in the SATA wire to my VIA PCI card/360. Pause a min or two, type in: C: > Enter. It errors, and basically states that my C: cannot be accessed, along with my D: or E: (all of which are hard drives, one that is plugged into the VIA card itself.)
2) One of my initial attempts yieled this result:
I was able to access C: using DOS mode on the NTFSDOS cd. However, when I typed in cd XTREME at the C:> command, it errored. The DIR command, however, listed all the files that should be in the C:\XTREME directory, yet it was saying that it was in the C: main directory. Anyways, I used xread, which was once working on the C:, but not anymore, and got the following:
1: ICH6P Pri Master
-- NO XTREME Drive (Xbox DVD Drive)
Questions
----------------------
1) What am I doing wrong?
2) What can I do to get my computer to read the XBox 360's dvd-rom?
Note: This isn't a newb question. I have read a great deal of posts, stickies, textbook.psd, etc. like I should. Please don't flame me. I tried my best on my own, following everyone's requests. I'd greatly greatly appreciate some help.
Feel free to Instant Message me on AIM at "BMIL CS", or e-mail me at "decaying@comcast.net". I really want to get this running tonight. Thanks a lot guys,
