Pokemon Rom help Firmware 1.50

I have firmware version 1.50 and am using NesterJ and Kxploit. I'm not sure what to do next, i have downloaded a rom 'Pokemon fire red version.gba'. Is this the right file type? And if it is what do i do with it?

no.....you need a GAMEBOY emulator, not a NES emulator....
