Merge several game CDs into one dvd

I'm wodnering, is it possible to merge several game CD's into one DVD so I only have one disk instead of 4? I want to back-up my Final Fantasy 7 from PSX but U can't be bothered having all the CD's lying around when a DVD is big enough, but I don't know whether it'd work, or how to start, such as what programs, what file format they need to be ripped as.. (Hopefully it's universal, if there is a way..)

Any help would be appreciated.

PS. I just thought... If the above is possible, is there a way to put several different games onto one DVD? Such as having Chrono Cross and Xenogears on one DVD? That would be rather handy...
