If your running by DVD-R could be the media your are using or the speed you are burning.

I burnt it to a Sony DVD-R with DVD Decrypter at 1x. Tried refreshing my TOC, still didn't really help... it's just a slow framerate.

Well actually, it depends. The framerate is still somewhat slow if you have the original to compare. Maybe what you are seeing is what the game is like. As for how slow it really is, I can't really say or judge accurately what it appears like in the actual game so it's up to you to see. So let me ask this: how slow is it and in what areas or activity are you doing when it appears slow to you. Depending on your response, it may indeed be either the game you burnt or how the game is.

Maybe the game is just bound to work slow... it is very massive. Very good graphics, huge draw distance and awesome graphics. But i can't believe that will happen in the original version. (i downloaded it)

Well... if you had the original, you could easily tell. Then it is not your fault or anything the way the game turn out to be. There are known issues like some framerate drops, small or massive, and slowdowns throughout the course of the game. It's not too bad, but it isn't not noticeable either. I have the original game btw. Anyway, the game is as it is the way you see it and the way it reveals itself to be. It isn't perfect, but it isn't a bad game either.
