The reason I posted this in the media section is because I want to know if my burner can handle the new Taiyo Yuden "Glossy" discs I ordered. They are 16X and I'm wondering if my firmware is up to date. Below is the link for the firmware update...

To anyone who owns this burner...is this the latest update?

I don't have this burner but the latest update is actually JY08:

The drive is actually a rebadged LiteOn SOHW-1673S.
You should be okay w/ the TY's. If for some reason your not you can cross flash the drive to LiteOn firmware.
