So what is the BEST bet when it comes to buying their new premodded consoles? PS2 of course
They've got 2 different Crystal Chips, Matrix Infinity GD, and Duo3 Gold.
I'm thinking Crystal 2.0 is the best, but is there anyone who can tell me FOR SURE before I buy? I liked the DMS4Pro, it pretty much never failed me!

I have a DMS 4 SE Pro. i liked it but toxic os was buggy. the current version is v0.41 and it has been like that for a little over a year now. and DMS fourms are being spammed and no one really cares...so i wouldnt get a DMS any more. The only thing good about the DMS 4 Pro is Internal Hard Drive support, so if u have a slim its pretty useless depending on if u plan to mod it with internal hdd on older versions. Crystal chip can play games online without needing it to be patched with the DNA$ which isnt hard to do... and matrix is just a more "durable" chip.

It all sounds awesome. But i heard that both crystal chip and DMS4 Pro are ''network adapter ready'' or something like that. By the way, will a modchip let me boot imports or just backups?

Teammodders is a great site with great people. I would trust them 100%. I have had many consoles modded by various members there and send anyone who asks there ofr premods and repairs.
My suggestion is to get a used, premodded V7 with a Crystal Chip V2.0
That way you can download the programs for hard drive support, and have built in auto patching for your back up games to play online. Plus with a V7 adding an internal hard drive is real easy. A slimline has heat issues, and adding a hard drive can only be done to the V12 & V13 models. And that is only after dropping another $55 on an HD Combo case and having it installed as well.
I personally have a V7 and a V12 as you can see below. My DMS4 Pro has worked just fine for years now. Never had any problems. But the support for the chip is gone these days, so no more firmware update or help on their forums.
Matrix Infinity Green Dot is also a great chip, I am just not sure of it's features or what can be downloaded to upgrade them.

I have a V5/V6 already modded with Swap Magic. But steimy, your saying that i should get crystal pro and then download additional features and stuff so it'd be like DMS4 pro? Cuz if i want a mod chip, I want it to be Crystal Chip 2.0 + DMS4pro cuz i dunno what to choose.

well, Crystal Chip V2.0 has programs you can download to run an internal hard drive. each chip is different so you can't have both in one chip. But it should have programs to do about all the same things. I do not know how the interface compares to the ToxicOS that DMS4 Pro uses. And i do not thing you can get a built in cheat device for Crystal Chip V2.0, but that is not a big deal since most people can not figure out how to us that part anyway. I have no idea if the CC 2.0 HDD program works the same way. I have just heard very good things about that chip. Plus for people who play online the auto patching feature is great. With every other chip you have to manually patch the back up disc to play online.

Ok.. let's round everything up.
MATRIX INFINITY
Very Durable
CRYSTAL CHIP 2.0:
Auto Patches online games
DMS4 PRO SE:
Bulit in HD Loader
Built in Cheat device
Network adapter ready (does that mean auto patching?)
Many other features of competitors.
ToxicOS sounds too good.
I think DMS 4 PRO SE is the best, as far as i know. XD

I have a DMS 4 Pro and i didnt like it cause theres no support anymore... but it dont have auto patching, well if ther is i cant get it to work, also i didnt really care but i have no idea of how to use the built in cheat device. also Toxic OS and Bios is REALLY buggy like when u choose the settings like Force NTSC and crap like that and u save the settings sometimes it freezes saving and u will have to reinstall ToxicOS (this dont happen really often though)Also in the interface u could choose to load the game or read from CD Drive it will say no cd found when there is a cd and i have to eject the disk then put it back in. not sure if its just my PStwo slim version but this happens a lot... But beside few bugs like that DMS aint a bad chip. But i am pissed that there is no support on the chip anymore , no firmware updates for more than a year now and didnt release source code or say bye or anything, just kinda disappear and never heard from again but chips are still producing.
Also these modchips can play backup and imports

I also heard that DMS auto patches harddrives to be compatible with games. Like, a normal 3rd party drive could work with FFonline.

If you want to play online, go with the Crystal Chip 2.0, since it auto patches the game. If you want to play off a harddrive, get the DMS4Pro. But to use the Harddrive you need to have a older PS2, or up to Version 13. Also so you know, Crystal Chip 2.0 original firmware DOES NOT boot backup. You will need to find the hacked firmware; Also on TM (TeamModders) site. And so you know, DMS4Pro is no longer supported by the group, so no more firmware for it, its as is now. Crystal Chip, will still be worked on, until further notice. As yes, TM does do professional install, I had mine done a few times there. All I can say is, either way you cant go wrong, both plays back up, dual layer, imports, homebrew, online, ect... Only difference is that DMS have a dash (ToxicOS).

vcbc, could be your PS2 or could be the chip. Really hard to tell. But i have a V12 with a DMS4 Pro and have never had a problem in the 2 or so years i have had it. My friend has one (that i donated to him) in a V5/6 and he has never had a problem with his either.

Man i want both online and harddrive... and crystal chip 2.0 dosen't play backups? that's stupid. Why would they make modchips that don't play backups? and does DMS4 PRO SE and crystal chip 2.0 both have HardDrive patching? (for games like FFOnline?)

OmriSama, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP.
4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.

Which chip should i get? Crystal 2.0 or DMS4 Pro SE? they both sound great. Will the latest version of the hacked firmwire let me do alot of things?

Let me make this clear and simple...
I suggest you get the Crystal Chip, because it can play off the harddrive also, but you will need to launch the HDLoader off the memory card or CD, to use it. To play online, you just backup the game, and play as normal, no DNA patching required.
If you get the DMS4Pro, you can play off the harddrive instantly through the ToxicOS, but to play online, you MUST patch the game DNA before you can play online.
The choice is up to you now, as I stated above ( my choice would be the Crystal chip )
