Hi guys,I am very new to all this, I got a new nokia dbox2 from Germany 2 weeks ago, I thought it was plug and play but when I scanned it I only got the basic 14 channels, all were locked. I have just got a crossover cable.Does anyone have a basic guide in plain english explaining connections, scanning, service files, flashing etc. I am in north Dublin and I have NTL.

Harry 7603 This mans a newbie just like us Hes paid is cash out got his D box and hes askin for forum help
Its not polite to jump in and try to buy his box
It would be more helpfull to get it up and running for him
I think you will find amounts of boxes on . You no were

Have DBox2 2 days, Sportster 1.7, searched web and got cables.xml which includes NTL Dublin, set Sevice scan to overwrite bouquet,fast scan and manual scan set to off, for both, selected suitable cable provider and then started scan, 14 transponders found 142 stations and fingers crossed am up and running

No luck im afraid, got as far as the flashing boot manager but it just would not flash. I think iam doing it correct. john

Jonn did you unrar the image b 4 4tryin to flash it that is Top class workin image .Ive posted you an alternitave but again unrar it then flash it .Let me know wot your doin and we will get it goin tonight ....Paul

John your mail wouldent except the file it may have been to big .So now it is compressed.You need to right click it and extract to desktop .This is the one you then flash dont worrie mate we will get there.....Paul

no john a null mowdem is a differant cable
