I'm thinking about purchasing platinum but if its not faster I dont see no need for upgrading.
I have the plextor 708a which is an 8x-r and 8x+r.

Yes, a way to handle AfterDawn Ltd's business -- we are not 321 Studios and therefor would love people who have problems with their products, to visit their forums, not AfterDawn's.

Stick with Xpress. I have Platinum and it doesn't even work. I have no problems running X-Copy Xpress but for some reason Platinum only reads the Disks and then when it prompts the Blank DVD it wont recognize that there is a Blank DVD in the drive and just sits there.
Actually the newest version of Xpress does the same thing. I think the software is still very buggy. If Xpress works for you stick with it and safe the money
