Hi all. I hope this is the appropriate forum section to post this thread.
Here is the thing: I have my desktop pc ?clone- and a Dell Inspiron. I have a local network at home and it works perfectly. I access my desktop pc using remote access from my portable and I can access files, copy, etc..
What I?d like to do is how to configure my way into being able to access the same desktop pc from outside my local network. I read around at a Linksys help site and from a Microsoft article, and it all came to conclude that I had to forward a port using the router. The port had to be forwarded to the desktop computer. I come to assume I have to connect then to the router?s public IP, that is the one I get from my ISP. Is this right? Am I missing something?
Thanks for your assistance.
