That's basically it. I've got an ATI X1300 Pro, a DVI to Component Adapter and a 1080i HDTV. I'm all set to clone to my HDTV and watch HD content but who knows come good places to download hD content?

I did not post a link, I'm just making a point. The whole reason I made this thread was to find a LEGAL site to get HD content. It's crazy that no one can offer help to my original question but they can take time to try to erroneously correct me. Thanks for the assistance eatsushi.

cheezzzz is right. The title of the thread refers to HD DVD and BluRay movies. By definition there is no way to "legally" download these movies.
I think what eatsushi wants to point out is this: If someone answered APOLLOSES' original question they would be in violation of Rule 5 of the forum rules.

Anyway why are you on this thread if you have nothing to contribute?
How in the world do you get piracy from:
What's the best place to download HD or Blueray Movies?
If I'm really talking piracy let the moderator correct it.

You can't stream HD DVD or BD quality movies and they will never offer full quality for DL (well maybe after the two become obsolete or when 25mbps internet is slow...).
The reason you can't stream those movies is that you will need to have roughly 25mbps internet connection to get a real time stream. How many people have that? There is no demand to stream this high quality. Also, PCs have to be pretty souped up in order to stream or even play high Quality HD.
The best you will find is compressed versions and that will be some time later on when DL of movies becomes more popular. However, expect to pay good $$$ for this. Probably $10 per DL. You might as well just wait for previously viewed BD & HD DVD movies to go under $10. You can already find new for $15.
BTW, the reason it sounds like piracy is because you said HD or BD movies. This implies HD DVD and Blu Ray rips. The correct way to phrase it would be "What's the best place to download legal HD content?" Then, there would be no confusion. However, like I said, that will not be available for a while. Maybe the porn industry will be first (at about 4mbps), so if you are into porn, that is your best chance within the next couple of years.

Oh, and I do recommend that you edit your title. It is better to stay on the good side of moderators rather than get warned by them or have your topic closed.

Too late.

You've countered all accusations by claiming you didn't mean movies but I'm not buying it. Your thread title says it all and why anyone would want to try out their new HD system with bland public content is beyond me. Requesting pirated material or sources for pirated material doesn't fly so I suggest you use a little more discretion as to what you post.
As for everyone else we need to leave the moderating to me alright? It only makes things messier and harder to sort out when everyone decides to get involved before someone reports it.
