when i open the eboot up in my hex editor all i get is a bunch of (what looks like to me) gibberish with some words mixed in can someone point me in the right direction?

Its a type of coding...takes quite a bit of time and dedication before you will fully know what to look for. But do some research on it if your serious about it and maybe in about 3 or 4 years you'll be on the right path ;)
