Where did you buy it? Did the modchip vendor provide you with guides?

If no, Mod-Chip.com gots guides. And google it too.

You know, you can just send it to TeamModders.com and they'll mod it for you.

Most people in the forum say they are increadibly reliable. I opened a topic called TeamModders. Look at it!

And since you have a slim PS2, you need to get HDConnect to connect and HDD to your slim PS2. An HDD is good for:

-Making backups without wasting discs.
-Up to 5 times faster (i heard)
-Let's you test different things you do with the games, like if you try to patch a PS2 game for online play, burn it to a DVD-R, and it dosen't work, you've just wasted a disc.

If you have never soldered before, do not attempt to install the chip. You will end up with a big black paperweight. Send it to Teammodders.com if you are in the USA and have them do it.

also you can get a hard drive if you do not mind spending the extra cash. Since you have a V12 you can have it put into an HD Combo case and have an internal hard drive installed. Just ask them for pricing. It is not cheap though, the case itself is like $55.
But it has dual fans and can really help with the heat issues that the slimline has. It will basically look like a slightly smaller version of the fat models when it is done.
