ive looked at the stickied bulletins and tried all that... i use a LITE-ON SOHW-812S and have got the most recent firmware. I also use Ritek dvd-r's... my burner cannot booktype, do i need one that can?
well, since i have seen copies of that game floating around the internet. I know it can be done. And if those discs worked for your other back ups then they should be fine. I never really used DVD+R for my PS2 games, always an 8X DVD-R
well, DVD-R never realli worked for ps2 games... ive spent alot of money just on dvd-/+r's alone to try and be able to copy ps2 games... but they never work...
booktyping burner, and DVD+R... thanks for the help gents
I have used more DVD-R then i care to coun't, and i can tell you they work perfect on both older model PS2's and slimlines when they are made right. Here are some keys
1. make sure your burner has the newest firmware available for it (for yours that would be USOS) http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1792 2. never buy anything but top quality discs (Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Philips)
3. Always get a good quality 8X DVD-R if you can (if your burner can booktype then DVD+R booktyped to DVD-Rom is fine too)
4. always set your burning program to do a 8X disc at 4X (i like DVD Decrypter for mine)
