How do I know if my xbox 360 backup is prepached or not?

I have a backup of a game which contains of 2 files: image.dvd and image.000
I have another backup but only with the image.000 file.

I'm burning the games with dvd-decrypter but I dont know if I have to merge them first with the xbox SS merger or not.

get Xbox Backup Creator V2.4
there is something there, may be under tools, that can check the file to see if it is stealth.
You press the button, load up the image file and it will tell you if the PFI,DMI, & SS files are there.
If they are then it is pre-patched. Any person who knows what they are doing should be making pre-patched games.

Ok I did that and recieved following:
Checking Stealth Compatibility
Video is questionable*
PFI Failed. Data is missing.
DMI Failed. Data is missing
SS is present
Stealth Check Failed!


The ss files are there, but not the dmi and pfi. Is it ok to burn or do I have to find another ss.bin?

were you using XBC v2.4?
I got that message of video is questionable when i used V2.5 so i switched back to V2.4 of XBC

If you have a samsung drive that is flashed with newer firmware, i think 5.0 or above, then it will stealth patch it so there is not need to manually do it as long as th SS is there it should be ok.
If you have a Htachi i think you will have to manually patch it.

I use version 2.5 of XBC. My Dvddrive is a hitachi with 2.4 extreme if that helps.

Then you not only need to patch the image so that it is stealth, but last i knew you also have to booktype all your discs as DVD-Rom for them to work. And all back up's, including xbox 1 games you make to work on your 360, must be on dual layer media as the Hitachi can not read a DVD5 single layer like the Samsung drives.
You can try V2.5 and see how it works for you, i saw that video questionable message and dumped it and went back to 2.4 right away
