3.40 downgrader release date by mods on psp vault?

i heard on psp vault by zmcnulty the psp vault founder/moderator(as some might know) that the psp 3.40 downgrader will be released november the 14th 2007
anyone else hear anything? i cant but think he might be right after all everyone has to obey the moderators
do you believe it?

Just a guess, but maybe a new game is releasing around that date. And maybe it has an exploit. But how would he know that, is beyond me.
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

even if that game had an exploit and he was waiting for is, couldnt he use the downgrade software with the unpatched GTA?

No... it would be a new exploid. But the more I think about it, the more unlikely it is. How would the guy know the exploit in the game 6 months ahead of launch. Anyway, even if this info is valid, it could just be a rough guesstimate.

it would be kool if he was workin for sony. he could get us all info on the new firmwares and encryption but it would be a matter of time that someone would get caught

Simply put, this is most likely 99% bullshit. First off there are no schedules to games that have bugs in them that can be exploited. Its a question of chance and finding it... Maybe the next game that comes out on psp may have a bug that will allow accessing the firmware from the newer firmwares, who is to say untile it comes out.
As for people that work on them; if they had found a bug/loophole that allows them to create a firmware downgrader, then one of 2 things would happen.
1# they will let people know a loophole has been found and to expect a downgrader once they work out the kinks...
or
2# they will not tell people that they have found a loophole even if they had, but release a downgrader once its read. In this case, they will not tell people any date when something is comming out, so stop listening to daves, second cousins roommates frequented forums moderator mother...
Point is if it not from the source, then its nothing but hot air.

damn this downgraders taking its time to surface... i could go out and buy another mobo but i already did that so i got two 3.11 anyone want a mobo for $20 i cant be bothered with it so i want to cheer up a newbs psp thats been crushed by a brick downgrader
