Could try switching video modes which I'm guessing you've already done so. If you want to force NTSC, I believe you're better off finding a PAL2NTSC converter if you're having trouble displaying the video properly.

I have that kind of converter, but it dosen't work well with my primitive TV. (Small,no headphone port, mono speaker, very lame)
