can i soft mod the newer box? i also have a 500gb western digital hdd i want to install in it too. need some help please

As long as the ms dash version is a 5960, then yes you can. If its not at least 5960, you'll neeed to update the dash using any game that has been created mid may thorough 2004-Present. It needs to be a live game, click on the live option within the game. The box will update the box instantly if its outdated, then if will try to connect to live while its offline. If successful reboot, check the version number under settings. If its at least 5960 youre good to go. You'll need to mod using SID 4.5 or higher though.

Follow the tutorial, is flawless for softmodding. If you have modded before or if your using a chip, ignore.
